Iraqi Independent Daily ‘Al-Mada’ reported Congress Party’s involvement in the Oil for Food Scandal before two and half years ago. Then Volker spoke. After Natwar nobody wanted to renounce. Why?

In Dec. 2005, I have discussed fully the matter in my news articles and blogs as listed in the bottom of this article. So I am not discussing the same again here.  

Pathak Commission

Pathak Commission is sadly touching flies, ED is under the Finance Minister, who negotiated between Natwar Singh and Manmohan Singh last time, and CBI under the Prime Minister, are in possession of the critical Volcker papers to filter. Why does Justice Pathak not examine the Volcker papers and interrogate Matherani in public, instead of the ED in secrecy? Why the simultaneous secret investigation by ED when a public inquiry has been announced? Will the secret investigation guide the public inquiry by Justice Pathak?

National Shame

Even with the involvement of the CBI, ED and DRI a kickbacks-for-influence scheme constitutes a national shame and security risk.

Judicial Commissions useless exercises

What is the result of judicial commissions set up to investigate the November 1984 mass murders? When CBI officers who were in Switzerland heard the victory of Congress they came back keeping legs on their heads. Bofors documents have been thrown in the dustbin. CBI said Quackrochi is not traceable. Aditya Khanna scarped London. Could ED stop him? Quackrochi flew Malaysia. Who help him? Laloo ate cows feed and Congress drunk ‘Oil for Food’.

Renounce rain in India

Now there is a renounce rain in India. Innovative sacrifices have been made to sacrifice post of NAC and MP. She also sacrificed posts of jaliawala Bagh Trust and   Rajiv Gandhi Foundation. ‘10 Janpath’ laboratory is researching on ‘sacrifice’.

Does not worry on its involvement in Oil scandal ?

These individuals and entities would be more than happy to give cover to the recipient of the oil vouchers, allegedly Natwar Singh and the Congress party, to claim that they have never “seen or touched a barrel of oil”.Smugglers  never touch the smuggling goods.

Congress follows Bandit Mark Rich  

It is expected that the facts in the Volcker Report be covered up the way several transgressions of Indian VIPs have been in the past, the better to blackmail them with later.

Marc Rich the commodity bandit and "spook" was interwoven with the White House of George Bush The Elder and later, Bill Clinton. The book author described him, "Marc Rich, the man whom the United States Justice Department privately called the most corrupt corporate executive in America". ["Metal Men", page 13.] By 1990, Rich was a key player in the huge, mostly unpublicized Russian ruble affair, an attack by the American CIA and worldwide banks fronting for them, against the Soviet currency which led to the downfall of the Moscow government. The result was the dissolution of the Soviet Union into fighting-with-each-other provinces, each a fiefdom for mineral exploitation and speculation, Marc Rich's specialty. Sentenced to 325 years in prison but he was pardoned by Bill Clinton at the end of 2000.

Masefield

The company, Masefield, mentioned in the Volcker Report as having managed the transactions for Natwar Singh and the Congress, is a Zug-based oil-trading company controlled by protégés of Marc Rich.

Switzerland is for international criminals

You don't need to fly to Switzerland to open a Swiss bank account.  You may open a regular postal Swiss bank account by simply filling out a short online form at the Swiss bank's web site.

Switzerland is for international criminals many of whom have offices there. The Swiss have made it almost impossible to recover ill-gotten money, once they are given charge of it. Marc Rich is one of Switzerland’s wealthiest residents, and is one of its largest taxpayers. He is discreetly protected by the Swiss police and security apparatus, as many journalists seeking information have found out. India should not expect any real cooperation or evidence from that Canton or Switzerland. This is also why merely sending a letter from the MEA or from Justice Pathak to the Government of Switzerland will produce Bofors-like results.

What are remedies to book Financial Bandits?

Relentless international pressure on Switzerland for the Swiss police and investigators to get details of financial transactions of Masefield, Marc Rich, and his protégés are the minimum necessary to make any progress.

Official Indian government agencies such as the enforcement directorate(ED), the CBI, etc. along with Interpol should be authorized and properly funded to pursue the individuals and companies concerned in Zug. If the Swiss government resists, the Indian Parliament should take strident steps to expose Switzerland’s complicity in many international financial crimes such as enabling kickbacks and corruption, sanctions-busting or sanctions-distorting, some of which are documented in the Volcker Report.

These agencies need to move quickly and the Indian Parliament will have to take the initiative in the matter, as the UPA government will be hesitant to investigate its key component Congress Party. Every refusal by Switzerland to grant access to Masefield traders who are linked to Marc Rich should be publicized widely by the Indian Parliament.

The glare of international publicity on Switzerland concerning the criminality of erstwhile Nigerian dictator Sani Abacha led to the unearthing and returning to Nigeria of 730 million US dollars that were looted and stored by the dictator in Swiss banks. Only a similar concerted effort will get to the bottom of the alleged involvement of Congress party oil-vouchers-for-influence kickbacks affair. .The question is, whose interests will the Prime Minister of India be faithful to, those of his political boss or those of the billion-plus people of this Republic?

Congress Party is a big family!

So actors involved in the Oil for Food Scandal film are in large number. Subject matter of this article is not to give details of those here.
